This is not a New Year’s resolution. I don’t do those.
This is me fulfilling a promise I made, and ignored, three
months ago. This is me learning how to
be an adult, and how to have a partnership with someone who really does have my
best interest in mind, as opposed to someone who just really likes to tell
women what to do. This is me learning
how to create balance in my life, instead of just jumping feet first and
wholesale into whatever momentary obsession catches my fleeting attention.
I’ve been learning this for far longer than one is supposed
to.
We’ll get to all that eventually.
For now, all you really need to know is that I promised my
husband that, if we bought the macbook I wanted, and probably couldn’t afford,
I would spend thirty minutes every other day writing. So I’ve started this blog to document what
that looks like.
If you’re reading it,
we’re probably related.
In fact, you’re probably my sister. (Hi Les)
I’d love to promise that this won’t be just anther blog full
of navel gazing and self-reference, but we all know that’s bullshit.
Instead, I’ll just promise that I’ll try to be funny about
it.
